Mann Moves On To Sebring Test
Pippa Mann and the Sam Schmidt Motorsports team arrived this week at Sebring International Raceway in Florida, following their road-course test last week in Alabama.
In the car Sunday and Monday, Mann was able to pick-up where she had left off at the team’s previous outing there in November. Managing to improve on her previous pace by almost a second, the young British driver ended both days with plenty of positive gains despite some issues which crept in towards the end of the test.
Speaking about the progress, Mann commented: “Yesterday was a fairly constructive day overall - I got back down to my previous fastest time here within the first two runs of the day, and then we just continued to work on driver and car. Today we immediately got back down to the best times of yesterday, however about four runs into the day we started having some issues with the downshifts, and began trying to work around the problem. To have come away with some good data and improvement despite this is really positive, and we’re making progress wherever we can.”
