Iowa Promise Ends in Retirement

19 July 2015

Pippa Mann returned to the wheel of the Dale Coyne Racing 18 car this weekend at Iowa Speedway for her second IndyCar short oval race. After unloading strong and running well in the opening practice laps, a misfire caused by a fuel line issue hampered the team’s efforts in the first practice session. The second practice session ran considerably better, giving Mann and the team confidence in a strong showing in the race. However, that promise did not come to fruition with Mann retiring from the race just before the halfway point.
