The Pink “Get Involved” campaign 2015 around the No. 63 Dale Coyne Racing car Supporting Susan G. Komen at the Indianapolis 500 raised a total of $61,150 this May with 624 contributions from 9 different countries. This was 22% above the original goal of $50,000.

The May festivities came to a close on Sunday evening as Pippa Mann and 32 other drivers took the green flag at the 99th Indianapolis 500. Although the race was a difficult one for Mann, she and Susan G. Komen still celebrated success as they reached and surpassed their crowdfunding campaign goal.

Qualifying for the 99th Indianapolis 500 was anything but traditional as 34 entries tried to contest for the highly coveted 33 positions in race trim bodywork configurations. British race car driver Pippa Mann, one of two women competing in this year’s event, qualified 28th, averaging 223.104mph on the 2.5 mile circuit.

Pippa Mann made her return to a Verizon IndyCar after nearly a year layoff and seemed to get up to speed without much reacclimation. Honda HPD’s introduction of their speedway aero kit this week was another hurdle the veteran British driver had to clear. She did so with impressive results and positive feedback from Team Owner Dale Coyne and from rest of the team.

Following the recent announcement of her entry into the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500, Pippa Mann has partnered with Indiegogo, the international crowdfunding website, to launch a new campaign in support of Susan G. Komen. Mann will run the legendary Indianapolis 500 Memorial Day event, returning with Dale Coyne Racing, again sporting the pink and white Komen brand on her race car livery.
